Taiwan is one of the country I visited back in 2015. In 2015, I went on a cruise to Japan and South Korea. In order to do so, I had to take a flight to Taiwan and embarked the cruise. I’m going to share with you the things I did in Taiwan for the limited amount of time I had. This is not a travel budget post since everything is paid for beforehand and I don’t even know the exact cost of the trip. However, if you’re planning to head over to Taiwan then here is a travel tips for you.
Hotel in Taiwan
The place I stayed is Orchard Park Hotel. The hotel is so beautiful! If I’m a Taiwanese, I would definitely hold my wedding reception here.
They have beautiful sculptures, paintings and even a vintage car exhibition in the hotel!
Other than that, the hotel has its own little pond at the back!
The only market I visited is the Jiufen Old Street Market. The market is open for 24 hours and it offers a variety of foods and souvenirs. If you have more time in Taiwan I would recommend you to go there at night, because all the lanterns will be lighted up. It will be a nice view which will be great for the ‘gram’.
Nonetheless, if you happen to have limited amount of time like me, then walk further up until the end of the market and take a photo of this view!
Pineapple tart!! Taiwan is famous for its pineapple tart. There’s a lot of bakeries selling pineapple tart, I couldn’t recall the name of the shop that I went. Although, I remembered there was a sample given for everyone to try and it taste amazing! If there’s one thing you should buy when you’re there, it will be PINEAPPLE TART!
I’m going to include my cruise experience in this post as well. The cruise ship that I embarked on is the Superstar Aquarius. The cruise itself offers a variety of entertainment and the food is good. Other than that, the hospitality of the staff makes the whole trip an amazing experience. Now, I’m just going to let the pictures speak from themselves.
I had an amazing journey and I’ll be back one day! By the way, thanks for reading. Next, we start our journey to Okinawa, Japan.
